We would like to think this all began with food but even before the food it was all about Chilliwack.  We were both raised in Chilliwack, met and fell in love here.

 My education is in Business and Hospitality while Cam, after working in forestry, decided to pursue his love for cooking and attended the Culinary Arts Program at Vancouver Career College. Cooking was Cam's first love, a love that I've always supported and

have been lucky to enjoy.  

 

Cam's apprenticeship with Delta Hotel's in Vancouver provided him the opportunity to turn his passion into a career where he worked in hotels and privately-owned restaurants in Vancouver and Kelowna, as well as providing catering services for most of his career.  My career has involved management and event planning at some of Vancouver’s coolest attractions

and UBC in Kelowna.

 

We spent 17 years between Vancouver and Kelowna and while we didn’t envision returning to Chilliwack, when we had our daughter Ryann and we knew we wanted her to grow up

around family and close friends.

 

After moving 'home' in 2016, we began to realize a dream of opening our own place.

Truly a family business, Cultivate Cafe opened its doors February 2018.
